After the registration period ends, it is possible to complete the training program in a flexible format. SESSIONS: Mondays and Wednesdays. Time: 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM (Spanish time). Attendance is not mandatory; sessions will be recorded and available on the virtual platform. TARGET AUDIENCE:
  • Fire protection professionals interested in specific training related to safety in data centers.
  • Managers and project directors involved in the construction and operation of data centers.
  • Technical professionals in the engineering and architecture sectors, specializing in project development or construction supervision and management, who wish to delve deeper into the area of fire protection in data centers.
  • Recent graduates or students in their final years of study who want to start their professional career in the Fire Protection sector.
  • Technical profiles from the construction sector linked to the data center sector.
  • Technical profiles from the insurance and claims assessment sector.
  • Technical profiles from the Occupational Risk Prevention sector.
  • Maintenance Managers in charge of large-scale Fire Protection installations.
  • GOALS

  • This Specialization Course aims to provide students with comprehensive and qualified training in fire protection for data centers (DCs), taking into account the ever-increasing need for this type of facility. Each of the five modules is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and technical capabilities necessary to define fire protection for data centers and DCs according to the main international standards. The specific objectives of this Specialization Course are as follows:
  • To introduce students to the operation, components, and importance of DCs.
  • To analyze the main causes and risks of fire in DCs.
  • To define the regulatory framework governing DCs from a fire safety perspective.
  • To delve into the main aspects related to passive fire protection, compartmentalization, smoke control, etc., in these types of facilities.
  • To explore the different fire control and suppression options, including both manual and automatic suppression systems.
  • Analyze the various possible solutions related to fire detection and alarm systems, taking into account the challenge posed by the operation of data centers.
  • Show students the importance of fire risk management and its main implications.
  • METHODOLOGY AND EVALUATION

  • The methodology for work and study is entirely online, allowing students to take advantage of virtual classes and progress at their own pace through the virtual platform.
  • Training is delivered via the ESSIIF virtual platform.
  • The Specialization Course consists of materials edited and created exclusively by professionals in each subject area. These materials will develop each topic by introducing fundamental theoretical concepts while incorporating the necessary practical design aspects.
  • One of the main components of this training program is the live masterclasses delivered via a video conferencing platform. These classes facilitate learning through the contributions of expert instructors in each subject.
  • You will be able to delve deeper into the concepts developed during the training program through individualized tutoring sessions with the program's instructors.
  • Students will tackle real-world case studies that will allow them to develop specific skills and competencies. This is a useful tool to ensure the progress and development of students, enabling them to acquire the knowledge and experience necessary to undertake real-world projects in the field of fire protection. The assessment will be based on the submission of a practical case study (60%), a multiple-choice test (30%), and participation in the forum (10%).
