Matricúlate

ÁREA DE CONOCIMIENTO:  Protección Contra Incendios

GOALS

  • This Specialization Course aims to provide students with comprehensive and qualified training on the fire risks associated with lithium-ion batteries and their protection. The specific objectives of this Specialization Course are as follows:
  • To introduce students to the importance of battery use in our society.
  • To analyze the challenge posed by lithium-ion batteries from the perspective of their fire risk, examining common failure causes and the concept of thermal runaway.
  • To define the main aspects of fire prevention in activities involving lithium-ion batteries, analyzing aspects such as deflagration protection, Battery Management Systems (BMS), compartmentalization, etc.
  • To define the main aspects of fire suppression systems for lithium-ion battery fires, understanding the effectiveness of different extinguishing agents in this case and identifying the role of thermal runaway in fire suppression.
  • Understand the importance of early detection of battery failure and fire through the application of various gas and fire product detection technologies.
  • Analyze fire risk and protection in everyday applications of lithium-ion batteries, whether in domestic, commercial, or industrial settings.
  • METHODOLOGY AND EVALUATION

La metodología de trabajo y estudio es plenamente online, permitiendo al alumno tanto el aprovechamiento de las clases virtuales como la flexbilidad de poder avanzar según su disponibilidad a través de la plataforma virtual.
